CALIFORNIA FIRES
The fires are still glowing in the San Diego area & I hope Peter who is experiencing first hand the destruction may share some stuff here.

So, I probably was the least affected person in San Diego, during the fires this past week. Sunday was probably the worst of it. The air was very bad on Sunday evening and some ash fell Sunday/Monday. Other than that if you didn't know there were fires destroying San Diego, you probably would never guess, if you just stepped out my front door.
My experience in 2003 was far worse. I'm very glad it wasn't like that again. That was darkness for several days because of the smoke and ashes, ridiculously awful air quality.
Never thought we would experience this again after what happened in 2003. Hopefully some changes will be implemented, otherwise we will probably be seeing this every few years.
